Prerequisites

  • A Google or Microsoft account.

  • Access to the files you want to connect (Google Sheets, Excel, CSV) stored in one of your cloud storage services (Google Drive, OneDrive, SharePoint, or Dropbox).

Sign In to Sheetgo

  1. Navigate to the Sign-in Page: Open your web browser and go to app.sheetgo.com/sign-in. You will be directed to the main sign-in page.

  2. Choose Your Sign-in Method: Sheetgo provides multiple sign-in options for your convenience.

    1. Sign in with Google: This is the recommended method. Click on the Sign in with Google button. A new window will pop up, asking you to choose or log in to a Google account. You can just select your desired account and give Sheetgo the necessary permissions.

    2. Legacy Sign-in Options: If you prefer another cloud storage provider, click the Legacy sign-in options link. This will expand the view to show additional sign-in buttons for:

      1. Sign in with Dropbox

      2. Sign in with Microsoft

  3. Confirm Permissions: After selecting your account, you will be prompted to allow Sheetgo to access your files and folders in your chosen cloud storage. Review the permissions and click Continue to proceed.

Once authenticated, you will be redirected to the Sheetgo platform.

Creating Your First Workflow

A workflow in Sheetgo is an automated sequence of tasks that transfers data from one or more source files to one or more destination files. To learn more, check out Sheetgo Workflows.

  1. Begin Your Workflow Creation: After signing in, you will see a screen with the prompt: How would you like to get started? Sheetgo AI powers this.

  2. Choose Your Creation Method: You have two options here:

    • Option A: Create with AI: You can type a prompt in the text box describing the workflow you want to create. The AI will then build a draft of the workflow for you.

    • Option B: Explore on my own: This is the recommended path for this guide, as it teaches you the fundamentals of building a workflow from scratch. Click the Explore on my own button to proceed.

  3. Select a Starting Point: After choosing Explore on my own, you will be taken to a new screen with three options:

    1. Start from scratch: This is the best option for building a custom workflow tailored to your needs, and this is the path we will follow in this guide. Click on Start from scratch.

    2. Discover Integrations: This will show you a list of all the apps and services that Sheetgo can connect to.

    3. Explore Templates: This provides pre-built workflow templates for standard business processes, which you can use as a starting point.

  4. Start from Scratch: Click on Start from scratch. You will then be taken to a new screen with three different ways to begin your new workflow.

    1. Create an Automation: This is the default workflow option for connecting data from various sources.

    2. Create a form: This option allows you to create a new form directly in Sheetgo, which will automatically be configured as the source for your workflow.

    3. Create a dashboard: This will take you to your main dashboard, where you can view existing workflows, connect data, and visualize it.

  5. Name Your Workflow: Click on the title at the top of the page (e.g., Untitled Workflow) and give your workflow a meaningful name (e.g., Monthly Sales Report, Lead Collection Automation, Demo Workflow).

  6. New Automation: We will proceed with the most common option for this guide. Click on Create an automation. This takes you to your data source selection.
