You can include data tables in your Dashboards to showcase specific information from your spreadsheets. To make this information easy to read users can use advanced features:

  • Filters

  • Sorting

  • Pages

Users with access to your dashboards can also directly interact with data from your spreadsheet through dropdowns and checkboxes.

Data table filters

Filters allow you to display only the data that meets certain criteria, helping users focus on relevant information.

To apply a filter:

  1. In the column header you want to filter, click the filter icon.

  2. Select whether you want to match "all" or "any" of the filters ("AND" or "OR" logic, respectively)

  3. Configure the filter criteria (e.g., text, number, or date).

  4. Click "+" to keep adding filters.

  5. Click outside of the dialog to close it.

You can see the number of active filters and Clear filters at the bottom of the table.

Data table sorting

Sorting helps organize data based on a selected column in ascending or descending order.

To sort data:

  1. In the column header you want to sort, hover over the sorting icon.

  2. Click the icon to toggle between "Sort asc" (A-Z, smallest to largest), "Sort desc" (Z-A, largest to smallest) or to turn off sorting.

  3. The table updates automatically to reflect the new order.

Data table pagination

Pagination helps manage large datasets by displaying a set number of rows per page. You can select from 4, 8, 16, or 32 rows per page.

To enable pagination:

  1. When adding a data table to your dashboard, turn pagination on.

  2. Select the number of rows per page from the available options.

  3. Users can navigate between pages using the controls at the bottom of the table.

Interacting with data tables

Dropdowns and checkboxes work the same as in Google Sheets, allowing users to interact with data directly from the dashboard.

To include dropdowns and checkboxes:

  1. Ensure your spreadsheet contains dropdown lists or checkbox fields.

  2. Select a data range that includes these elements when adding the data table.

  3. Users can select options from dropdowns or toggle checkboxes within the dashboard.
