Sheetgo can now send your mail-merge campaigns from a Microsoft Outlook account — not only Gmail. If your team runs on Microsoft 365, you can send personalized, automated emails straight from your existing Microsoft mailbox. Your data setup stays exactly the same; you simply choose Outlook as the email provider.
What you can do
Select Outlook email as a destination, alongside Gmail, in the connection builder.
Connect either a personal Microsoft account (OneDrive) or a business Microsoft 365 account (SharePoint).
Configure the subject line, body content, and dynamic recipient columns using the same editor you already use for Gmail.
Grant the required Microsoft email-sending permissions during setup — Sheetgo requests them automatically.
Recognize Outlook connections at a glance, with dedicated Outlook icons on workflow nodes and connection summary screens.
Set up an Outlook email destination
Create or edit a workflow automation and choose your source as usual.
At the destination step, under Select a destination, choose Outlook email.
Connect your Microsoft account — personal or work/school — and authorize the connection. Sheetgo requests the permissions it needs to send email on your behalf.
Choose where recipient addresses come from (a spreadsheet column or custom recipients), and optionally set Reply to, Cc, and Bcc addresses. Then write your subject line and message.
Click Done editing, then Finish and save. Run the automation to start sending from your Outlook account.
Personalize with smart tags
Outlook email uses the same email engine as Gmail — only the sending account is different. You can personalize both the subject line and the message body with smart tags. When you insert a smart tag, Sheetgo automatically pulls the matching value from your spreadsheet columns for each recipient, so every email is tailored to the row it is sent from.
Open the Smart tags menu in the message editor to insert a field. You can style the message with the rich-text toolbar, or format dynamic values with Markdown. For more, see What are smart tags?, Send personalized emails, and Format Mails with Markdown.
Advanced settings
Because the email engine is shared with Gmail, the same options are available for Outlook. Turn on Check email recipients to email each row only once, and expand Advanced settings in the destination step to:
Prevent undefined tags — stop sending if a smart tag has no matching value.
Enable Markdown formatting for dynamic values.
Track emails (beta) — record which emails were opened and clicked.
Set a control-columns prefix for the tracking columns Sheetgo adds to your sheet.
Remove the Sheetgo layout for cleaner, branded emails.
Send separate emails to each address when a cell contains multiple recipients.
For a full walkthrough of these options, see Send personalized emails.
Note: Both personal Microsoft accounts and business Microsoft 365 (work or school) accounts are supported. The permissions Sheetgo requests during setup are required by Microsoft to send email on your behalf.
