Export data from a spreadsheet with Sheetgo for Google Sheets
From Sheetgo for Google Sheets, you can start connecting your files by either exporting the data from the spreadsheet that you have opened or importing the data into the spreadsheet.
Start exporting data from your spreadsheet
To export the data into a different spreadsheet you can follow these steps. With the add-on installed go to Extensions > Sheetgo > Start
The Sheetgo for Google Sheets will open a new box on the right side of the screen, inside this new box click on Start connecting
Select Export data to another file
Since you are exporting the data from your current spreadsheet your connection will be automatically set as the spreadsheet that you are working on. If you need to export data from a different file you need to open Sheetgo for Google Sheets on the file that you want, or you can open the files through the Sheetgo and set the connections as you want.
Select which tab or tabs you want to export the data from. If needed this is the point where you can check advanced settings like transfer formatting. When you are done click on Next step.
After setting up a data processor you can focus on the destination part of your connection. You can export the data from your spreadsheet into:
Another spreadsheet
A BigQuery table
generate a document, a PDF, or
Please note, since you are working from inside a Google Sheet all the files that you want to use need to be hosted on Google Drive.
When setting up the destination you can choose to create a new file or transfer the data into an existing one. If you choose to create a new file you need to:
Give it a name on File name box;
Selec the File type, that can be a Google Sheets, CSV or Excel file;
Selection Destination folder where the file will be saved;
Give it a name to the New file tab where the data will be saved.
After setting up the destination you can click on Finish and save, or add a new step to generate a pdf or share the spreadsheet via email. For the moment we will just click on Finish and save.
